Ms. Caroline Kim’s musical training spans piano performance, conducting, composition, and historical performance practice, shaped through studies and professional experience across New Zealand, South Korea, and Canada.

Beginning piano studies at an early age, she later pursued formal musical training through the ABRSM curriculum while also studying cello and clarinet, developing a broad foundation in musicianship and ensemble performance.

Her advanced studies continued at a specialized arts high school in South Korea, where she received intensive training in piano performance and composition.

Ms. Kim continued her collegiate studies at Capilano University with concentrations in piano performance and conducting, and later graduated from York University with studies in piano performance, harpsichord, baroque performance practice, and opera repertoire.

Alongside her musical training, she also pursued graduate studies in early childhood education, leading to interdisciplinary work in creative learning, nature-based education, and child development. This work later informed the development of Little Ears for Music — a nature play–based early childhood music program designed to cultivate listening, creativity, movement, and musical sensitivity through exploratory learning experiences.

In addition to private instruction, Ms. Kim has taught in music schools, private school settings, and early childhood education programs, with experience working within the Ontario curriculum framework across diverse age groups and learning environments. Since beginning her professional teaching career during her university years, she has maintained a continuous and active studio practice, guiding students through RCM examinations, festivals, performances, and long-term musical development.

About CL Music Edu Co.
A child's small hands playing the piano, pressing black and white keys, wearing a long-sleeve shirt with black polka dots.

Music is more than the study of notes—it is the cultivation of listening, imagination, and artistic sensitivity.

In my studio, each student is guided through a thoughtfully structured and highly individualized learning process. Drawing on experience working with students from early childhood through to the university level—and as a conductor of choir, orchestra, and band—I bring a broad and disciplined perspective to music education, where creativity and composition remain central to each student’s development.

My teaching is supported by carefully designed materials, including customized sheet music and specialized resources for RCM ear test preparation, created to bring clarity, precision, and depth to each stage of learning.

I began developing these materials out of a need for greater quality and consistency—ensuring that students not only meet standards, but develop a refined and confident musical understanding.

For families seeking a focused and professional approach to music education, my work offers both structure and artistry, supporting students in building strong foundations while nurturing long-term musical growth.
